Hearing is believing

My social studies and reading grades have been slowly going downhill….not a good thing…but it’s hard for me to concentrate when I’m reading. Did you know that some kids learn better if they HEAR the lesson rather than read the lesson? Like, OMG!, I am AMAZING at knowing all the words to songs on the radio or my iPod so it totally makes sense. Anyways- I am now going to be going to a study group at school where we LISTEN to our Social Studies assignment, then we talk about it. I’m kind of excited to see how it will be AND I know that another guy in my class goes, too. Do you know what his name is? Caribou Caldwell…and he is just as cool as his name! Tell you more L8R~Ashley

Ashley, you should come up with a song to learn your social studies information. Maybe you can record it and put music in the back round. Then you could listen to it and enjoy but still learn. I sometimes do things like this and it really works!
